Welcome to the world, Baby Asher! This sweet little boy had an amazing newborn shoot at my studio, and he was simply a treat to work with.

Mom wanted to use a military theme for some of Asher’s studio photos, because Dad is in the military. So, naturally, we set Asher up and got him to proudly pose with his daddy’s uniform and the US flag—he’s already quite the patriotic new citizen of the country. He looked somehow both adorable and glorious at the same time for the scene that Mom had picked out—I couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Mom also wanted to showcase Asher’s birthplace of Hawaii, so she picked out the surfboard and pineapple scene for a tribute to the islands. Once again, Asher knocked it out of the park! He looks so sweet in that scene, and I’m glad that we were able to showcase the different aspects of his heritage for his mom.

Even though Asher slept for a great deal of the session, he was wide awake toward the end. It was so fun to see him try to take it all in with his wide, curious eyes. He clearly didn’t know what all the fuss was about—but that day was all about him!

Asher’s big sister came to the session as well, and she could not have been more excited and eager to take pictures with Asher. The two of them have a very strong resemblance—something Mom and Dad are quite proud of.

I am so glad that I was able to photograph this little dude. It really was an amazing studio session, and he was such a treat to work with. I hope that his family will forever cherish the photos we were able to take of their newest little addition.
